Bhubaneswar: National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is a transformational reform for seeking job in central and public sector. This opinion was elicited from a webinar held today on “National Recruitment Agency”, organised by the Regional Outreach Bureau, Bhubanceswar.

Participating in this event Prof.(Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao, vice-chancellor, National Law University Odisha, opined that the formation of NRA will not only enhance human resource potential but it would also bring transparency , openness and will be helpful to rural youths particularly women who hail from remote background. A common curriculum that is designed for this system will help the aspirants from appearing multiple examinations and it would be a game changer in providing jobs in the country, he added.


Speaking on the topic, secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission Ashok Kumar Dash said no doubt common entrance is a passport to get job it will also be helpful in reducing the humongous selection process. Besides, given the geographical and topographical diversities of the nation the NRA will also address the existing difficulties in the field of job. However, the online test process through common eligibility test may be a difficult but not far from reality.


Participating in the webinar secretary of Staff Selection Commission, Bhubaneswar Akshaya Kumar Mohanty stated that NRA is a good beginning and excellent platform for screening of aspirants. With the formation of NRA examination centre will be opened in each apparitional district for providing single window examination with lot of transparency. Since the medium of examination will be vernacular under the new system it will be convenient and accessible.
Chairman of the webinar Shailesh Kumar Malviya, additional director general of Odisha & Bihar region said that NRA will bring lot of relief to the candidates and their parents as well as to the employer.


Director of Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) Akhil Kumar Mishra asserted that employment in a democracy is of primary concept and NRA will provide opportunity for equal stake holders.
